About

Pocket Pixels started as a group chat where a few friends kept sending each other links to weird little games nobody was talking about. At some point the list got too long to keep in a chat, so we turned it into a proper site. We are a small, independent editorial team, and nobody here is paid by a studio to say nice things.

What we care about is the feel of a game on a touchscreen. Does it respect your thumbs? Does it run on a mid-range phone without turning it into a heater? Does it earn the half hour you gave it on the train? Those questions matter more to us than marketing sheets.

We pick games across every genre on purpose. Puzzles are lovely, but so are scrappy racers, slow-burn RPGs, and simulations you can leave running in the background. Variety keeps our taste honest.

Every review comes from someone who actually finished, or at least seriously played, the thing. If we bounced off a game early, we say so and explain why. No filler, no rewritten press releases.
