Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is the kind of game I want to hand to people who think mobile games are all timers and taps. It's a hand-drawn adventure about a wanderer arriving in a fog-wrapped village, and every screen looks like a page from a picture book.

Puzzles are logical and never resort to pixel-hunting nonsense. You talk to villagers, piece together their little worries, and slowly untangle what's keeping the town stuck in a long dusk. I only reached for a hint once, and even then the solution felt fair in hindsight.

It's short, maybe five hours, but it stayed with me. The ending is quiet and earned. This is one of the easiest recommendations on the whole site.
